Online applications are accepted daily. 

If the total number of all applicants for that day exceeds the allocated capacity, 

a lottery selection will be conducted. 

An email notification of the result will be emailed approximately within 3 working days.

1.Visitors younger than 18 years (including toddlers and infants) are not permitted to enter.  

2.Applications submitted by a proxy will not be accepted.

3.Visitors must take a tour guided by our staff, which takes about 80 min. Free access is not permitted. The visitor's path includes narrow stone bridges without handrails, large steps, and steep slopes. Please note that you will be walking on unstable ground.

4.Application form requires all visitor's the full names, ages, and the countries where they live. Incomplete information will result in an unsuccessful result.

5.No changes can be made after the application has been submitted.

6.If you wish to visit Shugakuin Imperial Villa and Katsura Imperial Villa or Kyoto Sento Imperial Palace on the same day, please choose a time slot that allows you to travel between the　locations, as each location is far apart.

7.To ensure that as many people as possible can participate, visits to the same location within the same month are limited to once per month. If you wish to visit more than once within the same month, please submit a new application after your current permitted visit has been completed.

8.Visitors are NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER THE BUILDINGS.
