SHUGAKUIN IMPERIAL VILLA | Application for VisitSelect Visit Month
Application for visiting SHUGAKUIN IMPERIAL VILLA can be made online.

Your application is not complete until the application number appears on the completion screen.
Online applications are accepted on a daily basis. **If the number of applications for a particular day exceeds the maximum capacity, a lottery will be held to select applicants for that day.**
The results will be notified by email within three business days after the day following the application date. Please ensure that emails from"kokyosankansys@kunaicho.go.jp" and "kyotosankansys@kunaicho.go.jp" can be received without being blocked or filtered.
1. Visitors younger than 18 years (including toddlers and infants) are not permitted to enter.
2. Applications submitted by a proxy will not be accepted.
3. Visitors must take a tour guided by our staff, which takes about 80 min. Free access is not permitted. The visitor's path includes narrow stone bridges without handrails, large steps, and steep slopes. Please note that you will be walking on unstable ground.
4. Application form requires all visitor's the full names, ages, and the countries where they live. Incomplete information will result in an unsuccessful result.
5. No changes can be made after the application has been submitted.
6. If you wish to visit Shugakuin Imperial Villa and Katsura Imperial Villa or Kyoto Sento Imperial Palace on the same day, please choose a time slot that allows you to travel between the locations, as each location is far apart.
7. To ensure that as many people as possible can participate, visits to the same location within the same month are limited to once per month. If you wish to visit more than once within the same month, please submit a new application after your current permitted visit has been completed.
8. Visitors are NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER THE BUILDINGS.For further details, please refer to the application guidelines.

Policy Notice
In the reception and management of visits, personal information will be used for the following purposes:
- To process visit applications
- To verify identity upon entry to the visit location
- To confirm safety and provide evacuation guidance in the event of accidents, disasters, or other emergencies
- To share and report information with related organizations as necessary (such as contracted operators responsible for visit management, facility managers at the visit location, fire and police departments)
- To use for statistical analysis as a reference for improving future visit management (statistical information will not include any personally identifiable information).
- The Imperial Household Agency implements appropriate security measures to prevent personal information from being lost, damaged, or leaked, and to ensure its proper management.
