How to Apply for the Guided Tour of the Imperial Palace
There are three ways to apply:
Advance applications can be made in two ways:
– Online
– In person at the Tour Office of the Imperial Household Agency
On-site (walk-in) registration:
Numbered tickets are distributed at Kikyo-mon Gate (one ticket per person).

5.00 a.m. (JST) on the 1st day of the month before your visit - 11:59 p.m.（JST）, 4 days before the visit.
In-person Application – Tour Office of the Imperial Household Agency
Application Period
8:45 a.m. (JST) on the 1st day of the month before your visit - 7 days before the visit.
On-site (walk-in) Registration
・Tickets distributed at Kikyo-mon Gate at 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
・First-come, first-served (300 tickets)
・Bring a valid ID (not a copy)

Kyoto Imperial Palace
The Kyoto Imperial Palace is open to all visitors. No advance application is necessary.
